the following organizations:
Keshena Animal Help & Rescue
Staff of Lyndahl Funeral Home is proud to be a small part of a great and ongoing volunteer effort rescuing, vaccinating and treating dogs on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, seven miles north of Shawano, WI. Any donations for these dogs are greatly appreciated, and all contributions are used for vaccinations, heartworm, heartworm treatment and supplies for Spay/Neuter clinics. (No donation money is ever spent on wages, volunteer expenses, such as gas, etc., or the vet or vet techs care at our clinics and vaccination caravans.) For information on how to help, please contact Bette Anderson (920) 336-0108, Lisa Wilson (715) 853-9227, or Chris Daley at the funeral home (920) 499-1223. President Ronald Reagan Funeral Gathering
On Friday, June 11, 2004, Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services provided an opportunity for our community to come together to honor and celebrate the life of a former U.S. President. A live broadcast of the Ronald Reagan funeral services was played and a memory room was created containing a memorial tribute slideshow and various items donated by members of the community.
As requested by the Reagan family, memorials given to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research were forwarded appropriately to the center. Cards for the Reagan family were collected and sent to the Ronald Reagan Library.
Annual Tree Planting
In partnership with Brown County Parks Department, Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services formed Living Legacy, a program designed to help restore the landscape and environment of Brown County with the lasting beauty of living trees. As of our planting ceremony in June, 2008, nearly 3,000 trees have been planted since 1994 at locations such as Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve, Fonferek-Glen Conservancy and St. Francis Park, along the Fox River Trail in Allouez.
