Judith A. O'Keefe, 71, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at a local hospital. She was born on Nov. 22, 1940, in Green Bay, to Robert and Mildred Johnson. On October 26, 1963, she married Jerome O'Keefe. Judi always put everybody's needs first before her own. She enjoyed spending time up north at the lake with her family and always liked watching birds. Especially cardinals, as they gave her comfort knowing her daughter Kim was close by. She enjoyed her grandchildrens activities and interests. She was a loving, nurturing wife, mother, and friend.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome; two daughters, Michelle (Chris) Zirbel and Kelly (Terry) VandenPlas; son-in-law, Mike Monahan; all of Green Bay; grandchildren, Jarod and Morgan Zirbel, Kayla VandenPlas, Meghan and Macie Monahan. Judi was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Monahan and her brother, Ronald Johnson.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Friday, June 1, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida Street, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m. with the Rev. John Harper officiating. Entombment will take place in Fort Howard Memorial Park. Online condolences may be expressed at www.lyndahl.com
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Judith's name. The family would like to thank Bellin Hospital's ICU for the special care and concern they provided.
