Carol Jean Lawrence

Carol Jean (Lukkari) Lawrence, 88, died peacefully at Woodside Lutheran Home on March 8, 2024. Carol was born March 11, 1935 in National Mine, Michigan.  She married Ronald C. Lawrence, her high school sweetheart, on June 12, 1954.  

Carol was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.  Carol and Ron dedicated their lives to honoring our disabled American veterans.  They were members of the DAV Chapter #3 in Green Bay and Carol served as an officer in the Disabled American Auxiliary.  They enjoyed attending the national conventions.  

Carol and Ron spent many happy summers at Captains Cove Resort in Gresham.  They traveled to Texas, Arizona, Reno, Hawaii, and Alaska.  Carol will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families:  Bunny LaMere, Brian Nault, Deidra Schneider, Diane Krause, Dawn Loy, Vickie Nault.  Linda Dimmick, Teresa Trewhella, Gary, Daniel, Duane Lukkari.    Close family friends Gail and Bob Kozlovsky, Christopher, Nathan and Goddaughter Jamie Kozlovsky.  

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Ronald C. Lawrence; sisters: Evelyn (Garnet) Racine and Doris (Bernard) Nault; brother: Donald (Grace) Lukkari; one infant nephew: Michael; and her beloved nephew: Daniel Nault.  Entombment will follow.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday March 18, 2024 at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel, 2770 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay.  Visitation will occur from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
