Jean K. Wagner

Jean Kristine Wagner, 74, a lifetime resident of Ashwaubenon, WI passed away on Sunday, February 25th after an unexpected stroke.

She was preceded in death by her dad, James Phillips, and her mom and best friend, Dorothy Phillips.  She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard E. Wagner; her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Beth Wagner and their two children, Madeline and Daniel Wagner; her daughter, Amy Lee Wagner; and her sister, Mary Kay (John) Berken.

Jean loved spending time up at the cottage; “bumming around town” with her BFF, Linda; going to water exercise with her many “swimming friends”; going to see Daddy D’s and Letterman shows; going out to dinner with friends; hunting for a good deal; traveling the world; making Christmas cookies; and giving long belly rubs to the many dogs in her life.  She was a caregiver to everyone and always made sure to visit family and friends in the hospital or nursing home, baking pies for friends who needed cheering up, find the perfect gift for her loved ones, and take care of the many children in her life.  She had many roles in her life: daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, aunt, neighbor, and was “grandma” to many.  But her favorite role of all was being “Grandma Alabama” to Maddy and Danny, who she will love unconditionally until the end of time.

A funeral service to celebrate Jean’s life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church, 2700 Babcock Rd., with Rev. Josh Fite officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Jean will be laid to rest at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
