Colleen Mary Turnquist, 75, De Pere, passed away peacefully at Unity Hospice on Monday, January 22, 2018. She was born June 14, 1942 to the late James and Bernadette (Rolf) Long. Colleen graduated from Green Bay West, Class of 1960. She lived in Green Bay and Bellevue all her life until she moved to De Pere to be closer to family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was very important to her coming from a family of nine. Her favorite holiday was St Patrick’s Day, it was her day to shine.
Colleen is survived by her son, Bruce (Michelle) Turnquist of Howard; daughters, Lynn (Kevin) Kufel of Cottage Grove, Heather (Dale) Jones of De Pere, Debbie (Scott) Speidel of De Pere, Heidi (Steven) Miller of Howard; her grandchildren, Phillip (Antonia), Nathan, Scott, Alex, Brenden, Kiana, Traye (Keasha), Ashley, Samantha, Corey, Kasi, Josh and Lydia; Great Grandchildren, Cora, Nevaeh, and Tinley; sisters, Geraldine Pirman and Maureen Vaessen; brother, Victor (Jayne) Long; brother-in-law, Harry (Judy) Proctor; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Colleen was preceded in death by the love of her life, Richard Brosig; her parents; her brothers, Donald (Darlene) Long and Thomas (Tae) Long; her sisters, Patricia (Howard) Peterson, Nancy Proctor, Kathy Long; as well as Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Visitation will take place at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2:00-5:00pm. Special thanks to the staff at Unity Hospice for the compassionate care both at home and hospice they provided to our Mother. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
