Connie M Walker

Connie Walker, 51, peacefully passed away at her home on Oct 30, 2019 after her brave battle with cancer.

Connie was born on September 4, 1968 in Green Bay, WI to Alan Walker and Julaine (Wertel) Vercimak. Her family always knew how much she loved them. Connie’s most amazing quality was her love. She always cared more for everyone else before herself and loved to be a mother to everyone. Connie was so excited when she was blessed with two amazing boys that she could love from their first breath. The past 12 years of being a mother would be her greatest joy in life. She loved them beyond words and would do anything for them. Even though this past year was a battle, she fought every day to be with her boys and treasured every moment. Even on her last day, she had the energy to tell them she loved them. She really gave the word love a whole new meaning.

Connie always had a smile on her face. Whether she was at work at McDonalds or with her family, we all saw the joy within her. Her big smile was contagious, and we are all better people for experiencing her love and joy.  

Connie is survived by the joys in her life, her children, Connor and Mason Skaleski; parents, Julaine (Ron) Vercimak, Alan (Lynne) Walker; her ‘bro’ and best friend, Ken Walker (nephew, Adyn); sisters, Kristy (Al) Leurquin (nieces, Amber and Alie); Crystal (Aaron) Hafeman; Rhonda Jefferson, Robin, Ryan, and Nathan Vercimak; only living grandma, Collette Wertel, and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 1:00 pm until the memorial service at 3:00 pm, led by Brian Mock. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared on Connie’s tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
