Harlen “Harley” W. Petersen, age 77, of Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was born on December 7, 1940, in Chase, Wisconsin to the late Nels and Elizabeth (Regal) Petersen. He attended Green Bay West High School. Harley married the former Carol Kurowski, on June 29, 1963 in Green Bay. He worked as a paper mill machine operator for many years before retiring. Harley enjoyed fishing, car rides, going up north, looking for walking canes, listening to country and classic rock music, and making new friends wherever he went.
Harley is survived by his brothers, Harold (Marge) and Ed Kerker; and sister in law, Ruth Petersen; special friend, Lucille Hess; and his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Harley was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; brothers, Nels, Gilbert, Walter, Harvey, and infant twin sisters; and sisters, Vi, Edith, Esther, and Ruby.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Harley’s life will be honored in a Funeral Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be in Ft. Howard Memorial Park.
