James E. Lemorande, age 75, of Howard, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, June 11, 2018. He was born on July 4, 1942, to the late William and Alice (Riewe) Lemorande. Jim graduated in 1960 from Premontre High School. He then went on to serve in the United States Army Reserve for eight years. Jim worked for 38 years for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. He was united in marriage with Barbara Lee Pamperin on May 24, 1969 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Jim was a Trustee for the Village of Howard for 18 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jim spent most of his free time at the cottage in Oconto on the bay. Above all else, he was a family man and enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
Jim will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Barb; children, Luke (Coreen), Matt (Michelle), and Heidi (Jeff) Krueger; grandchildren, Jacob, Grant, and Grace Lemorande, Lauren and Aidan Lemorande, and Ella and Olivia Krueger; siblings, William (Jean) Lemorande, Tom Lemorande, Polly (Don) Crabbe, Peter (Janice) Lemorande, Mary (Ken) Rosenow, Jeannie Lemorande, and Janny Thomas; sister-in-law, Jean Pamperin; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Marcus and Dolly Pamperin and sister-in-law, Mary Kay Pamperin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 4:00 p.m. until the Parish Wake Service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 15, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Jim’s life will be celebrated in a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Scott Valentyn officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
