Joan M. Matzke

Joan M. Matzke, age 88, Green Bay, died Thursday, March 1, 2018.  She was born September 27, 1929 to the late George and Catherine (Sargent) Gruselle.   Joan owned and operated Matzke Insurance Agency.

Joan is survived by her seven children, Denis (Anita) Matzke, Douglas (Pat) Matzke, David (Linda) Matzke, Donald Matzke, Derrick Matzke, Jim (Teresa) Matzke, and Joy (Eric) Andersen; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her brother, John Gruselle; one sister-in-law, Virg Gruselle; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James, two brothers, Ron and Tom and her sister-in-law, Jean Gruselle.

Visitation will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1224 12th Avenue, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 9:30 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am with the Rev. Don Everts officiating.  Entombment will be at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Joan’s memory. 

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Grancare Nursing Home for their care and concern given to Joan.
