Joanne L. Rasmussen

Joanne L. Rasmussen, age 65, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.  She was born on September 7, 1952, to Rudolph and Helen (Herman) Herwald.  Joanne was united in marriage with the love of her life, Timothy J. Rasmussen on August 27, 1971.  She worked as a legal secretary for various law firms throughout her 30+ year career.  Joanne was known as “Grandma Bling” by her grandchildren.  She loved cooking and baking for others and often shared her treats with co-workers.

Joanne will be sadly missed by her children, Jennifer (Gene) Malcore and Timothy (Jolyn) Rasmussen; grandchildren, Cooper and Emma Malcore and Samantha and Alyson Rasmussen; mother, Helen Herwald; brothers, John Herwald and Jim (Lyn) Herwald; niece and nephews, Kimberly Herwald, Kendal Herwald, and Jake Herwald; and many close friends and other relatives.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 41 years, Tim; father, Rudy; and brother-in-law, John Rasmussen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.  Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Joanne may be shared with her family on her tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
