Joyce Elaine (Anderson) Abts

          Joyce Elaine (Anderson) Abts, 93, of Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.  She was born on March 23, 1924, to the late Ludwig and Willie Leola (Kilpatrick) Anderson.  On December 31, 1941, she married the late Norman Abts. Joyce enjoyed bingo, golfing, watching the Packers, and loved playing Parcheesi with her children at Rennes.

          She is survived by two sons, Larry (Shirley) Abts, Ashwaubenon and Norman Abts, Green Bay; one daughter, Dianna (Dave) Cornelissen, De Pere; seven grandchildren, Brant (Ellie) Abts, Troy (Elaina) Abts, Jeff (Keri) Abts, Jason (Erica) Abts, Tami Abts, Carrie (Josh) Thomas, and Lisa Bos; 17 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Beverly (Al) Schott, Betty Beyer, Ralph (Ann) Abts, Ruth Abts, Shirley Abts, Carol Abts, and Marge Dollar.

          Joyce is preceded in death by her sister, Ruth (Ray) Warden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sylvester (Leona) Kaster, Bob (Rita) Abts, John Abts, Rosemary (Bud) Brosig, Jules Abts, Clayton Abts, Tony Beyer, Marie (Chester) Dollar, and Dorothy Abts.

          Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1307 Lourdes Avenue, De Pere, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Benny Jacob officiating. 

          The family would like to thank the staff at Rennes Nursing Home for all their care.
