June Dombroski

June W. Dombroski, age 101, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living in Denmark, Wisconsin.  She was born at her aunt’s house in Green Bay on May 23, 1916, to the late Ernest F. Groth and Fannye S. (nee Erdmann).  June’s family lived in several places in her youth and she graduated as the Salutatorian from Shawano High School.  As a young woman, she worked in the office at Green Bay and Western Railroad in Green Bay.

June married Henry J. Dombroski on April 20, 1940, at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Green Bay.  Together, they lived in rural Green Bay – then acquired a small hog farm near Spruce, Wisconsin but they eventually made their way back to Green Bay.

While June and Henry did not have children of their own, they were a great influence on their nieces and nephews – helping out wherever they could.

As per June’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.  She will be joining her husband up north on her niece’s property.
