Katherine Olson Obituary

Katherine Roberta Olson (nee: Schirmer), of Green Bay, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019. She was born Wednesday, December 28, 1932 in Coleman, Wisconsin to the late Robert and Clara Schirmer. In 1950, Katherine graduated from Marinette High School and then went on to graduate from Beauty School to become a beautician. In 1953, Katherine married Loren Olson in Marinette, Wisconsin. When she and Loren decided to start their family, Katherine directed her focus on being the best mom and then grandma. She always enjoyed the time she was able to spend with their grandchildren, watching them grow from babies to whom they have become today. Katherine was always trying to keep busy whether it was crocheting, doing ceramics or traveling to various places throughout the country. She was a dedicated volunteer at Bethany Methodist Church and St. Paul United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Wenda (Tim St. Thomas) Steeno and Marci (Mike) Zablocki; grandchildren, Zak Zablocki, Josh (Emily) Zablocki, and Hootie (Luke) Zablocki and siblings, Othelia Niles and Wesley Schirmer. Katherine is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Private Services were held for Katherine at Shrine of the Good Shepherd.
