Lorraine M. Kraszewski, age 92, Green Bay, formerly of Pulaski, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019. She was born August 26, 1927 to the late Charles and Helen (Shedivy) Melnarik. Lorraine graduated from East High School and worked in the office at Schreiber Foods until marrying Alvin Kraszewski on October 5, 1963, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Green Bay.
Lorraine loved baking, playing cards, watching classic movies, going out to lunch, spending time with her family and watching the Packers & Brewers. She was a ten-year survivor of ovarian cancer and always said she enjoyed going for chemo and spending time with the wonderful staff at Green Bay Oncology.
Survivors include her son, Robert (Nancy) Kraszewski; three grandchildren, Cory (Trisha) Spice, Jamie (Danny) De Grave, and Ross (Alyssa) Kraszewski; 5 great-grandchildren, Myla, Elliana, Tristan, Ariya and Grace; one brother-in-law, Jack Kraszewski; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her husband Alvin, one brother, Leonard Melnarik, and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Lorraine was a “Prayer Warrior”, daily lifting her family and friends up in prayer. She watched Mass daily and in her last days she asked God to take her home and He lovingly answered her prayer.
Visitation for Lorraine will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2772 Oakwood Drive, from 9 AM until the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM with Rev. Bob Kuruhn officiating and Sister Marla Clercx assisting. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Renaissance where she lived the last few months and to the compassionate nurses and doctors on 8th floor at St. Vincent Hospital during the final days of her life.
