Margo A. Conlon, age 77, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Margo grew up in the small town of Shiocton, Wisconsin, helping out her family with their drug store right on Main St. The move to Green Bay after her marriage was a big transition, but she lived there happily for many years before moving to Oconto.
After high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin, before enrolling in the Outagamie Teacher’s College. She taught at St. Francis until her second child was born. Although she worked in a variety of positions during her lifetime, she considered herself a teacher.
She was a soft-spoken woman who would nod pleasantries while making friends easily. Margo loved learning new things and would branch off in many directions. She had a great sense of family and pride in their accomplishments. She doted on her husband and felt a deep commitment to her role as mother. Although she was sad when her daughters moved to opposite ends of the country and her son moved from Green Bay, she enjoyed the opportunity to visit them and explore new places, especially if it involved a visit to a lighthouse or two. Over the years, she became a repository of letters, cards, and mementos that touched her, and in turn, became a gift to her family when she passed.
Margo is survived by her daughter, Corinne, and granddaughter, Naara; daughter, Marille (Jared) and their children, Liam, Ethan, and Ada; her son, Michael (Danielle) and their children, Jaidan and Brekston; and her brother, Bill Bergstresser (Barb).
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy; and husband, Michael.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Dr., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Scott Malme will be officiating. Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Margo may be shared with her family on her tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
