Mary Falk, age 84, Green Bay, died Friday, February 23, 2018. She was born March 4, 1933 to the late Arthur and Elda (Lettau) Gatz in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. On April 3, 1954, she married William “Bill” Falk.
Mary had been very active in volunteering in many aspects at her church. She had been president of the Brown County Homemakers Group, and a lifelong member. She also rehabilitated Birds of Prey and she had an overall love of birds. Mary was an avid reader, enjoyed the cottage life in Dykesville and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Bill; two sons, Lee (Donna) Falk, Doylestown, PA and Glen (Lisa) Falk, Green Bay; two daughters, Linda Falk and John Mande, Green Bay and Diane (Ken) Destree, Green Bay; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her brother, William Gatz.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, John Gatz and David Gatz and her sister, Joanne Ploetz..
Visitation will be held for Mary on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday, February 28, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1167 Kenwood Drive, from 3:00 pm until the funeral service at 4:00 pm with Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mary’s name. All contributions will be given to the Wildlife Sanctuary.
The family would like to thank the staff at Unity Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for all of their concern and care given to Mary.
She raised her family and lived her life like Thumper the Rabbit said, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”
