Norman "Jim" Jensen

Norman “Jim” Jensen, 89, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.  He was born on December 5, 1927 in the village of Wausaukee, to Russell and Dorothy (Cole) Jensen.  Jim served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  On August 28, 1954 he married Carol Northway, in Dodge Center, MN.  He was employed by the State Highway Commission. Jim loved hunting and fishing and spending time at the cottage on Hilbert Lake.

Jim is survived by two children, Scott (Christine) Jensen and Leanne (Kelly) Mc Corison; five grandchildren, Elliot (Stef) Jensen, Tony (Nicole) Jensen, Alex Jensen (Corey), Allyson (Tyler) Waskosky, and Karissa McCorison (Tyler); four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; infant son, Randy Jensen, brother, Lyman Jensen and his sister, Agnes Cross.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1110 Echo Lane, from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robb McClintock officiating.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jim’s name.

The family would like to thank St. Mary’s Hospital, Odd Fellows, Unity Hospice, his good friend, Mary, and the walkers at the mall.
