Robert "Bill" Stebbins

Robert “Bill” “Steb” Stebbins, age 74, of Oneida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017.  He was born in Madison on February 23, 1943, to the late Robert and Jeanette (Zimmer) Stebbins.  Bill graduated from Green Bay East High School before continuing his education at UW-Oshkosh, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Astrology.  He was a care giver for both of his parents for many years.  Bill lived for playing poker.  He loved golfing at Oneida Country Club, where he received a hole-in-one plaque in 1995.  Bill was a season ticket holder and a very avid Packer fan.  He attended the Ice Bowl in 1967.  Bill had loved hunting and fishing and spending time at the cottage on Clear Lake in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years.  Bill married Vicky Miller on June 22, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Together, they loved golfing, date nights, traveling, and spending time with their families.

Bill will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 15 years, Vicky; step-son, Chris Draper; grandchildren, Lexi Draper, Christopher Draper Jr., and MaKenna Puhle; extended family, Gwen Crystal, Pam Schroeder, Mark Paynter, Eric Paynter, and Sarah Merkel; loving father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Patty Miller; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim Miller, Kathy (John) Hermsen, Jeff Miller, and Joe Miller (Special Friend, Robin); niece, Jessica Schwartz; special fur babies, Madison and Hunter; and many close friends.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, JoAnne Stebbins and his fur baby, Whiskey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
