Ronald “Ron” J. Wichman Sr., age 83, of Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was born on July 8, 1934.
Ron spent three years in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the Eagles and the VFW. He was employed at Paper Converting Machine Company for 32 years as a crater, before retiring in 1995. Ron enjoyed listening to polka music, watching Westerns, and traveling out west for 20 years.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 61 years, Mary; his children, Ronald Wichman Jr., Beverly (Clayton) Exferd, Rose (Doug) Bowen, Debra (Steven) Miller, Carol (James) Hogenson, and William (Jeanne) Wichman; eight grandchildren, Tina (Justin) Edwards, Karen Hogenson, Brad Miller, James Hogenson, Matthew (Rachel) Miller, Krystal Miller, Sarah Wichman, and Ryan Wichman; and two great-granddaughters, Alaina and Elise Miller. He is further survived by his brothers, William (Ann) Wichman and Robert Wichman; half-sister, Lisa (Wayne) Hanson; sister-in-law, Joan Wichman; aunt, Irene Simons; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Wichman; brother, Thomas Wichman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin V. and Clara Kramer; brothers-in-law, Edwin N. Kramer, Raymond Kramer, Robert Kelly, Dennis Barth and Daemon Foth; and sister-in-law, Marg Kramer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 South Oneida St., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
