Sharon J. (Anderson) Smith

Sharon J. (Anderson) Smith, age 69, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born October 1, 1948, in Green Bay and adopted as a toddler by her late parents, Ernest and Norma Anderson, for whom she felt the utmost love and gratitude. 

Sharon graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1966.  She later graduated from Bellin School of Nursing where she received a degree in nursing.  Throughout her life, Sharon loved helping and caring for others and worked as a nurse in the Green Bay and Milwaukee areas before moving to Texas.  She later attended and graduated from DeVry University in 1990 with her daughter, Laura, and began a second career working for Zales Corporate Headquarters. 

She enjoyed watching Green Bay Packers games from her home in Texas.  Sharon liked working on crossword puzzles and taking care of her beloved dog, Gabby.  She enjoyed having family close-by and spending time with them.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Laura (Randall) O’Mary, The Colony, TX; and son, Brian (Jill) Zablocki, Green Bay.  Sharon had seven grandchildren, Ryan and Megan O’Mary, of The Colony, TX and Kristin, Jackie, Briana, Danika, and Izzi Zablocki of De Pere.  She is further survived by friends from both Texas and Green Bay, including some lifelong friendships that were very dear to her. 

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie St. Vincent.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 5:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m.  Deacon Jim Gauthier will be officiating.
