Teuntije (Betty) Van Loon Salzseider

Teuntije (Betty) Van Loon Salzsieder, age 94, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017. She was born on July 21, 1923, in London, England, to Dirk and Mary Ann (Barrington) Van Loon. On October 11, 1947, she married Hugo Salzsieder. Betty was very proud to have been a "Rosie The Riveter" during WWII. She was also a crossing guard in Green Bay for several years and enjoyed helping the children.

Betty is survived by three children Carol (Ned) Cain and their son, Nevin, Linda (Matt) Rowley and their son, Alan and daughter, Amanda, and Theodore Salzsieder and his daughters Chelsea and Breanna; six great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Ray Sylvester and his son, Jacob; and one sister, Victoria Jean Dixon.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Sylvester; brothers, Harry and Richard; and sisters, Minnie and Helen.

Due to her wishes, a private graveside service was held at Fort Howard Cemetery.
