Adeline Lorraine (Pagel) Bork (93) passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025 at Lake Hallie Memory Care in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Adeline was born on October 14,1931 to parents Arthur and Alma Pagel of Almond Wisconsin. She married Howard Bork on November 24,1951 and had three children, Gary, Pamela, and Mark. Adeline was a proud and loving homemaker while raising her children, but eventually went on to work as a baker for the Ashwaubenon School District. Before and after their retirement, Adeline and Howard enjoyed traveling. They passed on their love for travel to their children by taking them to almost all fifty states before they graduated high school. Adeline also had many hobbies. She was an extremely gifted painter and participated in many craft shows that displayed her talents in Rosemaling and painted wooden ornaments and figurines. In her later years, she became a talented card maker and donated her beautiful handmade cards to the church. She also loved baking and making desserts and cookies for her family and the church.
Adeline was devoted to family. Her favorite times were when family would visit and loved hosting the holidays in her home in Green Bay. Her grandchildren were taught to be true Packer fans and enjoyed the many perks of living so close to Lambeau field. She kept our family looking “game ready” by gifting everyone with Green Bay Packer attire at Christmas.
Adeline was the true matriarch of the family who lived her values. She was a deeply religious person and an active member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She baked for the funeral services and attended many of the school functions.
Adeline is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bork, three brothers, Kenneth (Emily), Lyle (Lorraine) and Merle (Evonne) Pagel. Howard’s sister, Betty (Don) Boettcher and her son-in-law, David Schulist.
She is survived in death by son, Gary (Chere) Bork, Eden Prairie, MN; daughter, Pamela Schulist, Eau Claire, WI; and Mark (Pamela) Bork, Green Bay, WI; grandchildren Mat Schulist, Nicole Huebner, Danielle Schurter, Brett Bork, Alex Bork and Juliet Bork and great-grandchildren, Rowan Schurter, Aubrey Schurter, Emersyn Heubner, Hailey Schurter and Mason Bork and Beckham Bork.
Services will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1731 St. Agnes Dr., Green Bay on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation to begin at 10:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be given to Pilgrim Lutheran Church Ladies Quilting group.
