Alice J. Helnore

Alice June Helnore, age 89, of Green Bay, passed away on August 17, 2022 at Marla Vista Manor Assisted Living & Memory Care. Alice was born in Green Bay on June 8, 1933 to the late Arthur and Florence (Blahnik) Bristol. She was a graduate of the class of 1950 at Laona High School. Alice enjoyed spending time with family, going to the cabin and spending time with great friends Joan and Kenny.

On January 27, 1956, Alice married Maynard Helnore at Bethany Church in Green Bay, and had five children together. She spent almost 30 years working as a foster parent to numerous children in her own home.

Alice is survived by her children: Vicki McKeefry, Paul Helnore, Brent (Barb) Helnore, Bruce (Lori) Helnore, Dale Helnore; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Judy Helnore. Alice is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Maynard; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Betty) Bristol; and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Helnore.

A funeral service to celebrate Alice’s life will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at The Lyndahl Funeral Home (1350 Lombardi Ave.) with Pastor Laura Reimer officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at The Lyndahl Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.

Alice will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Forest Home Cemetery in Townsend at a later date.
