Alice M. (Vanden Langenberg) Roskom

Alice Mary Roskom, age 90, of Green Bay passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Alice was born August 26, 1935 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Raymond and Mabel (Van Duyse) Vanden Langenberg.  She was a graduate of East High School Class of 1954. On June 9, 1956 she was united in marriage at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church to the love of her life, Levi Roskom. Together Alice and Levi raised seven children and created a loving and happy family life.

Alice was a strong and kind person that treated everyone with the same love and respect. She was the glue that held her family together. Her entire life was dedicated to taking care of people. First of all her children, then her grandchildren and in more recent years her dear husband Levi who preceded her in death on August 14th of this year. Together they celebrated 69 years of happiness, working together to form a special family bond that exists today through their children and their families.

Alice loved being a homemaker and was famous for her dessert making. When she had a few moments she loved to read, follow the Brewers and Packers, and cherished attending any and all family events. She worked part-time at Shopko in the 80’s, but her main job was being a wonderful wife and mother and keeping her home spotless. She was always heard saying she wouldn’t change a thing in her life, it was perfect. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her seven children:  Larry (Kay), Debbie (John), Nancy (Jayme), Kevin (Diane), Pat (Andrea), Craig (Lisa) and Todd (Laura); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, June (Billy) and Evelyn; a brother Donny; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Levi, her parents and a granddaughter, Abby.

Cremation has taken place with funeral services being held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish.  Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Matt Simonar with inurnment of Alice’s remains to take place at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum following services.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
