Allen Albert “Ike” Aichele, 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Bellin Hospital.
Al was born on April 12, 1943 in Bangor, WI to the late Albert and Helen (Diekroeger) Aichele. He was a 1961 graduate of Bangor High School. Al served his country in the United States Navy from 1961-1965. On September 13, 1965, he married Caryl Kurtz. For many years, Al was a Sales Representative for Lipton Tea.
Al was an avid sports fan, and loved cheering on the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing all sports, particularly bowling and golfing. He had the opportunity to coach all three of his sons baseball teams, and was also the volunteer coach for the Ashwaubenon Youth Baseball organization and the Ashwaubenon Legion Baseball team for several years. Al cherished time spent with family, especially his grandchildren and attending their activities and piano recitals.
Al is survived by his wife: Caryl; three sons: Allen Aichele, Andrew (Michelle) Aichele, and Aaron (Vanessa) Aichele; grandchildren: Grace, Taylor, Charles, Magnolia, and George. Al was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Helen Aichele; sister: Alys Aichele; and aunts and uncles.
A life celebration will be held to honor Al’s life on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 4:00 pm until the time of Military honors at 7:00 pm.
