Alton L. Paulson, 91, Ashwaubenon, entered eternal life on Thursday, March 25, 2021. He was born July 11, 1929 to the late Walter and Helen (Waldock) Paulson in Iola, Wisconsin. Alton served in the U. S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. On November 11, 1959 he married Marlys Pallin in Portage, WI. She preceded him in death on August 26, 1996. Alton was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Madison with a bachelor of science in journalism. He was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue until retirement.
He will be remembered for his gentle soul and kind heart. Alton was the oldest of four children. His siblings offer their thanks for taking on the responsibility of helping their mother to provide for the family. Alton’s children thank him for his selfless love and high moral character and being the perfect father role model.
He is survived by his four children, Deby Giammario, Jan (Joseph) Mauel, Eric Paulson and Kurt Paulson; three grandchildren, Lauren Mauel, Sarah (Ethan) Ravet and Shasta Paulson; two sisters, Kathleen (Robert) Kuelthau and Louise Googins; and one brother, Richard (Kim) Paulson. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
Cremation has occurred and a private memorial service will be held. Alton will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park Appleton. Expressions of sympathy, memories and photos may be shared with Alton’s family on his tribute page at www.lyndahl.com.
