It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear sister and friend, Alys Lucille Aichele, on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
Alys was born on July 11, 1939 in Bangor, WI, to Albert and Helen (Diekroeger) Aichele. Alys was a graduate of Bangor High School and furthered her education at UW-LaCrosse and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She went on to teach Spanish in New Holstein for two years and then taught Spanish at Lombardi and Green Bay Southwest for 35 years.
Alys was an avid reader and was known to sneak off to the casino every once in awhile. She loved watching the Brewers and Packers.
Alys is survived by her brother: Allen (Caryl) Aichele; three nephews: Allen Aichele, Andrew (Michele) Aichele and their daughter: Taylor, and Aaron (Vanessa) Aichele and their children: Grace, Charles, Magnolia, and George. She adored all of them.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her dear friends that she had over the years: Betty, Lori, Scott, Austin, Steffany, Ericka, Mary “O”, Ellene, Monica, Ken G., Casey, Mary R., Alfredo, Jack S., Dan, Laura-Lee, Judy, Jim, Cindy, Marge, Ken, Harold, Leslie, Paula, Jean G., Jeanne and Ginny.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Society in her memory.
A visitation to share stories of Alys will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave., from 4-6pm.
