Ann Marie Flynn, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025 at Oak Park Place in Green Bay.
Ann was born on July 26, 1939 in Ballinrobe, County Mayo, Ireland, the ninth of ten children born to Thomas and Nora (Connor) Sice.
She is survived by her five children: Tim (Julie) Flynn, Kelly (John) Burke, Molly (John) Peterson, Patrick (Mary) Flynn, and Michael (Ashley Wery) Flynn; her beloved niece: Mary Jennifer Troxell; her sister: Delia Irwin; and her nine cherished grandchildren: Eryn and Ryan Flynn, Sara and Sean Burke, Adam and Jack Peterson, Amanda Weber, Brianna Baranczyk, and Brooke Resulta; and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Vincent Flynn; her parents-in-law: Wilbur and Ione Flynn; and eight of her brothers and sisters.
Fittingly, Ann passed away on Thanksgiving morning, a day forever tied to the traditions she created. She will be fondly remembered for her famous ham topped with cloves and the largest turkey she could find. Additionally, she will be remembered for her immense pride in her Irish roots, her signature red-painted nails, her beloved blazers, Easter egg hunts in Wausau, fruitcake enhanced with a touch of spirits, Friday night fish fries, her vibrant jewelry, and her love of dogs. Above all else, Ann treasured her children and grandchildren, and she was adored for her unmistakable, spirited “sass”.
A Memorial service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 12:00 pm noon at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm noon. Ann will be laid to rest at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
