Ann M. Holtquist, age 71, formerly of Carol Stream, Illinois and more recently of De Pere, passed away in her home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Ann was born on April 14, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Felix and Wanda (Sweeney) Holtquist. Sister to Charles (Muriel) Holtquist, and the late Phillip (Karen) Holtquist. She graduated from West Leyden High School with the class of 1971, and went to Secretarial School where she earned her certificate. Ann was a skilled pianist and studied with some of the best teachers in Chicago. Ann played piano and sang with the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, IL. In addition to one of many of Ann’s interests was golfing where she played in a league for AON Insurance Company.
Ann retired from Target Insurance where she worked as an insurance underwriter for 15 years. After Ann’s retirement in 2019, she immediately moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin to be closer to part of her family which included her great-nieces. In her spare time, Ann loved spending time with her family in Door County and traveling to Disney World every year with her great-nieces. She also enjoyed spending time boating in Sister Bay and Sturgeon Bay
Ann is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Muriel Holtquist; sister-in-law, Karen Holtquist; niece and nephew-in-law Susan and Patrick Frain, niece and nephew-in-law Carolyn and Joe Russo; nephew Thom Holtquist, great-niece Hannah Frain; great-niece and Goddaughter, Morgan Frain; great-nephew Braeden Holtquist; and great-niece, Sophie Holtquist, as well as numerous members of the extended Holtquist family throughout the country. She was preceded in death by her father, Felix Holtquist, her mother, Wanda (Sweeney) Holtquist; and more recently her brother, Phillip Holtquist.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Ann at 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 26th at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials directed to Project ADAM of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
