Arthur Edward Covi, age 96, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2023. He was born August 1926 to the late Joseph and Maria Covi in Iron Mountain, Michigan. He married Anna Eliina Kohtanen, she preceded him in death in May, 2000.
After retiring from Paper Converting Machine Company, Art enjoyed golfing, cribbage, poker games, traveling to Europe and Alaska and climbing trees (to trim of course!). Arthur was an enthusiastic singer with The Green Bay Baylander Barbershop Chorus for many years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII.
Survivors include 5 children: Patricia (Gregory) Sauve, Arthur D. (Susan) Covi, Paul (Becky) Covi, Jean (Bradley) Soderlund, and Donald (Mary Jo) Covi; Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren: Brian Sauve (Emily Wilhelm), Ellen (Aaron, PA) Moon, Andrew (Dr. Rachel) Covi, Dr. Stuart (Trista) Covi, Benjamin Covi, Kathleen Covi (Alan Knuth), Michael Soderlund, Ann (Jordan) Weuve, Dr. Daniel Soderlund and fiancée (Sydni Euclide), Jennifer Covi and fiancé (Jim Klemann) and Joseph (Danielle) Covi; and seven wonderful great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife: Anna, Arthur was preceded in death by his sister: Elsie and brother-in-law Carl Granquist; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Mildred and Dr. Charles Nelson; and special friend: Joyce Milquet.
Private Family Internment will be in Iron Mountain, Michigan - Arthur and Anna’s family hometown.
