Audrey E. Cole

Audrey E. Cole, age 87, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

Audrey was born in Milwaukee to the late Raymond and Evelyn (Setzke) Ohm on May 6, 1935. On September 3, 1955, she married Charles “Chuck” Cole, and together they had four daughters.

For 27 years, Audrey worked at St. Vincent’s Hospital where she was a Certified Nursing Assistant, and later a Health Unit Coordinator. She spent her last years at St. Vincent in the dialysis department. After retiring from St. Vincent, Audrey worked at Lamers Bus Line for 13 years.

Audrey enjoyed spending time at the cottage with her husband Chuck, her sister Marlene, her brother-in-law Fred, and their families. Audrey and Marlene maintained an impeccably beautiful garden, as well as the surrounding landscape at the cottage. When the girls were young, Audrey and Chuck raised them in a close-knit neighborhood. They enjoyed socializing, camping, and getting together for card club with their neighbors. Later in life, Audrey would find great joy in reading the paper, going on walks, and stopping to visit neighbors and friends. She took pride in maintaining her home and yard. Audrey was especially proud of her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.

Audrey is survived by her daughters: Sue (Brian Eisner) Cole, Sandy (Ed) Rottier, Candace Cole, grandchildren: Samantha, Emma and Dana Eisner, Nicole (Nick) Cieslewicz, Andrea Ciha, Lindsey Soun, Sarah (Matt) Giuliani, Cole (Kaylee) Rottier, Kendra (James) Tarka, Isabella and Isaac Eggebrech; great-grandchildren: Samuel Cieslewicz, Aubrey Soun, Gus, Audrey, Eleanor, Josephine, and Fitz Giuliani and Harper Rottier; and her brother: King (Vicki) Kramer. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Evelyn; her husband: Charles; her daughter: Cindy Ciha; her sister: Marlene (Fred) Ehrfurth; her cousin: Ed (Doris) Setzke; and her aunt: Esther Ohm.

A funeral service for Audrey will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 1167 Kenwood St., Green Bay, on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 5:00 pm, with Pastor Ben Workentine officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm. Audrey will be laid to rest at Nicolet Memorial Gardens at a later date.
