Audrey J. Leisgang, age 90, of Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Audrey was born June 19, 1934 in Oneida, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Edward and Lucille (Weyenberg) Sobieck. She was a graduate of Seymour High School with the Class of 1952. On July 2, 1955 Audrey married the love of her life, Joseph Leisgang , at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida, Wisconsin.
Audrey was a Charter member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish and a founding member of the Ashwaubenon Lioness Club. She served as a Past Lioness Affiliate District President and was honored as a Melvin Jones Fellow, one of the highest recognitions in Lions Clubs International.
Audrey was a dedicated volunteer who generously contributed her time and talents to numerous causes and organizations, including San Luis Manor, the Red Cross, Concerned Hearts, Bellin Hospital, Cormier School, and her beloved Nativity of Our Lord Parish.
Audrey lived a life deeply rooted in love and devotion to her family. She enjoyed family gatherings and caring for her grandchildren. She was a steadfast presence in every chapter of their lives. She also found joy in cheering on her favorite hometown teams—the Ashwaubenon Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, and Milwaukee Brewers.
Survivors include her husband: Joseph Leisgang; her children: Jane (John, Jr.) Cain, Joy (Dan) Egan, Terry (Katrina) Leisgang and Timm (Nichole) Leisgang; her grandchildren: Jennifer (Chris) Sambolin, Joe (Anna) Cain, Kristin (Liam) Holyoak, Eileen Leisgang, Devon (Andrew) Mannenbach, Zachary (Erica Diaz) Egan and Madeline, Noah & Jonah Leisgang; her step-granchildren: Gigi (Fred) McKellips, John Cain III and Cynthia Filiberto; her great grandchildren: Evelyn, Liliana, Maxwell, Jaxon, Audrey, Silas, and Lennon; step-great grandchildren: Jordan, Quiana, Luis, Madeline and Atticus.
Audrey is also survived by her siblings: Arlene Smits, Joe (Lola) Sobieck, David (Mary) Sobieck and Mary Claire (Gary) Ullmer; her sister-in-law: Mary Ann Lancour; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Lucille Sobieck, sister Joan Sobieck, brother Frank Sobieck, parents-in-law Theodore & Philomena Leisgang and brothers- and sisters-in-law; Donald Smits, Gerald & Dorothy Leisgang, George & Rita Leisgang, John Leisgang, Margaret & Dale Baeten and Tom Lancour.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin. Officiating will be the Rev. Matt Simonar. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends for visitation at the church on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lions Pride Program supporting the Wisconsin Lions Camp would be appreciated.
The Lyndahl Funeral Home is assisting the Leisgang family with funeral arrangements.
