Barbara Ann Buechler, 84, of Green Bay died on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Tender Hearts Assisted Living.
Barb was born on July 20, 1937, in Chicago, IL to the late Henry and Helen (Fasczewski) Paulus. She was a graduate of Pulaski High School. On July 23, 1960, she married Darell Buechler in Oxnard, CA. He preceded her in death on October 21, 2017. Throughout the years Barb worked for Wisconsin Public Service, Dr. J.R. Mattson Clinic and then VDH Electric until her retirement.
Barb was a member of Nativity Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, crossword puzzles, reading and traveling with her sister-in-law.
Barb is survived by her two sons: Jeff (partner Lee Carpenter) of State College, PA and Jay (Terri) Buechler, Littleton, CO; two grandsons: Calvin (Andrea) Buechler and Max Buechler; one brother: Donald (Audrey) Paulus; and two brothers-in-law: Duane Buechler and Art Matuszak. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her husband; Darell; her parents: Henry and Helen Paulus; two sisters: Dorothy and Loretta (Gerald and Donald) Marnocha; three sisters-in-law: Darlene Buechler, Joanne Buechler and Marilyn Matuszak.
A funeral service to celebrate Barb’s life will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., with Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Entombment will be at Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at the church from 10am until the time of service at 12pm.
