Benjamin Stutleen Jr. Obituary

Benjamin (Butch) A. Stutleen Jr., age 82, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at ThedaCare Medical Center, Shawano, with family by his side.

Benjamin was born in Green Bay, on August 31, 1942 to the late Benjamin and Lillian (VandeLeest) Stutleen. He graduated from Green Bay East High and worked as a carpenter until his retirement. On March 3, 1962, Benjamin married the former Linda Ruleford in Walsh, WI. They were married for almost 60 years until her passing in 2021.

Benjamin enjoyed all things outdoors and staying active. He played hockey, golf, horseshoes, he would go swimming, and later took up gardening. He loved inventing things and building. Most of all, he loved his wife, Linda. When they were younger, they would spend time at their cottage in Crooked Lake, and as they got older, they would bowl together.

Benjamin is survived by two sons: Mark (Laurie) Stutleen of Shawano, and Matthew Stutleen of Green Bay; three daughters: Colleen Reuter of Sheboygan, Karin Stutleen of Crivitz, and Dawn (Dion) Renard of Crivitz; 9 grandchildren: Michael, Candice, T.J., Phillip, Layla, Terra, Maureen, Jessica and Nicole; 15 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Darlene) Stutleen; brother-in-law Theodore (Donna) Ruleford; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife loving Linda Stutleen; his granddaughter Amy; sisters: Doris Campsure and Sharon Gutowski; and brother Harold Stutleen.

A funeral service celebrating Benjamin’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Divine Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 102 Northridge Dr., Shawano, with Rev. Joseph Neuberger officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the church on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Inurnment will take place at Fort Howard Mausoleum, Green Bay at a later date.
