Betty Ann Tilton, 95, Green Bay passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at her residence surrounded by family and friends.
Betty was born on August 2, 1927 in Chicago, IL to William and Stella (Fowler) Matthew. She graduated high school in Chicago, IL. On September 11, 1948 she married Gerald “Jerry” Tilton, he preceded her in death on December 12, 2013. Betty was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Betty was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, where she served as church secretary. Over the years she loved tending to her garden and enjoyed being an Avon Sales Representative and a charter member of the Green Bay Botanical Gardens.
Betty is survived by her daughter: Ann Platte; her son: Paul Tilton; grandchildren: Shaina, Matthew, Shawn, Corey, and Cody; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents: William and Stella Matthew; her husband: Jerry Tilton; and sister: Jean (Harry) Stangor.
A memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1110 Echo Lane, with Rev. Robb McClintock officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave. from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the CHURCH from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
