Carol R. (Hansen) Hohne

Carol R. Hohne, age 91, of Green Bay passed away Friday, October 25, 2024 in Green Bay.

Carol was born December 2, 1932 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Axel and Bertha (Hansen) Hansen.  She was a graduate of Green Bay West High School.  On August 23, 1951 she was united in marriage to Edward Hohne at Bethel Lutheran Church, Green Bay.  He preceded her in death on January 15, 2007.

Carol’s greatest joy was babysitting for her grandchildren, working with seniors at Woodside Lutheran Home, Young at Hearts group at Bethel Lutheran Church and being a member of P&M Club.

Survivors include her children:  Kathy Gegare; David and LeAnn Hohne; Mark and Connie Hohne; Tim and Chris Hohne; ten grandchildren:  Amy, Jeff, Amanda, Megan, Kim, Joseph, Sherry, James, Rachel and Luke; twelve great grandchildren:  Samantha, Danielle, Jessica, Brooklyn, Ensley, Hannah, Leah, Justin, Halie, Nick, Joey, Cooper; three great great grandchildren:  Trytan, Sophia, Holden; sister-in-law:  Connie Ashley; Godchildren:  Linda and Gayle; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents Axel & Bertha Hansen, her husband Edward Hohne, one son-in-law Richard Gegare, brothers Ray (Frieda), Mel (Donna), Harold and Howard Hansen and sisters Viola (Evan) Hansen and Beulah (Don) Ashley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Green Bay.  Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Kim Swenson.  Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at a later time.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday, October 31, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m.
