Carole Marie (Kuxmann) Imig, 88, passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 18, 2023, after a short stay at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Green Bay, WI. Carole was born March 23, 1935, in Green Bay, WI, to the late Robert and Ruby (Wedgewood) Kuxmann. Carole graduated from West High School, Green Bay, WI in 1953. On January 4, 1957, she eloped with her high school sweetheart Llewellyn Imig, they were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dubuque, IA. Carole lived a long and blessed life. She was a devoted wife and a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. Carole loved her family unconditionally and she will be dearly missed. In her younger years she enjoyed golfing and bowling with friends. Her time more recently had been spent with family at their Boot Lake Cottage, gardening, playing cards (especially Gin Rummy), but the thing she enjoyed most was cheering on her grandchildren at their many sporting events. Carole was a devote Christian and was a long-time member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Green Bay, WI.
Carole is survived by her beloved husband: Lew; their four children: LuEllen (Mike) Oskey, Ashwaubenon, David (Cindy) Imig, Ashwaubenon, Laurie (Kevin) Taicher, Town of Eaton, Jody (Dale) Heuer. Germantown, WI; Grandchildren: Nicki (Roy) Campshure, Joe (Hilary) Oskey, Danny (Carrie) Taicher, Rachel (Kevin) Rapp, Jake (fiancé Laken James), Zachary Imig, Matthew Imig, Carly (fiancé James Neuberger), Heuer; Great-grandchildren: John Oskey, Cora Taicher, Brooks Rapp; one brother: Robert (Jean) Kuxmann Crivitz, WI; one sister and best friend: Diane (Dennis) O’Connor, Green Bay, WI; two sisters-in-laws: Delores Demott, Shoreview, MN and Mary O’Connell, Green Bay, WI; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law: Helen Benedict; father-in-law: Clarence Imig; brothers: Kenneth and Dean Kuxmann; brothers-in-law: John Demott and Joseph O’Connell.
The family extends a special thank you to Dr. A.J. and the staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital for the loving care and compassion given to Carole in her final days. They also appreciate the care given by Unity Hospice.

A private funeral service was celebrated at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Green Bay, WI.

The Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services assisted the family with arrangements.
