Caroline “Carol” Jean Holewinski, 77, of Green Bay, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Bellin Hospital.
Carol was born on January 9, 1944 in Pulaski to Stephen and Genevieve (Golec) Krajewski. She was a 1962 graduate of Pulaski High School. On August 8, 1964 she married Donald J. Holewinski. Carol was a devoted wife and mother, dedicating herself to raising their three children. In her later years, Carol worked at Lindsay’s Greenhouse.
Carol attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Carol was an exceptional cook, making polish dishes and was known for her homemade bread. She enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her rose bushes, polka dancing over the years with Don, and spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her husband: Don Holewinski; three children: Scott Holewinski. Lori (KC) Nelson, and Chad (Michelle) Holewinski; three grandchildren: Lexia Nelson, Krysta Holewinski, and Riley Holewinski; sister: Florence Steffen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Sandy Krajewski, Rose Marie (Leonard) Mastey, Rita (Leon) Smith, Diane (Robert) Paulick, Kenneth (Diane) Holewinski, and Gary (Connie) Holewinski. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents: Stephen and Genevieve Krajewski; her parents-in-law: John and Lucille Holewinski; sisters and brothers: Eleanor (Harold) Braun, Rita (Larry) Baierl, Mary (Don) Montag, Ronald Krajewski, and Michael Krajewski.
A memorial service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held at 7pm on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Ave, with Sister Marla Clercx officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the funeral home from 4pm until the time of service at 7pm.
