Chester “Chet” M. Czyz, age 62, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday, June 20, 2025.
Chet was born July 30, 1962 to the late Edward and Stella Czyz. He graduated from Bishop McCort High School in Johnstown, PA, with the class of 1980. He then furthered his education at Slippery Rock University, where he played tennis and won numerous collegiate tennis awards, graduating in 1984. Over the years, he worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service. He loved spending time with his family. Chet enjoyed fishing, American history, riding his Harley, wildlife, target shooting, and sporting events.
Chet is survived by his sons: Michael Alexander and Nicholas Adam; mother of his children: Melissa Czyz; and brothers and sisters: Mary (Chris) Coyle, Anne (Lee) Czyz – Klemens, Edward P. Czyz Jr., Jean (Jim) Walborn, and Teresa Czyz. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Chet is preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Stella Czyz.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Chet’s life will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 at The Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombari Avenue, at 1:30 pm. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 11:00 am to the time of service at 1:30 pm.
