Claire M. Gilson

Claire Marie Gilson, 88, of De Pere passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Tender Hearts in Green Bay.

Claire was born on March 21, 1934, in Green Bay to the late Ramsey and Bertha (Erickson) Vieau. She was a 1953 graduate of Green Bay West High School; she then went onto cosmetology school. On August 7, 1954, she married Richard Gilson at Trinity Lutheran Church. Claire was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother. For several years she was a beautician in the Green Bay area. Claire was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed going to the beach, casino trips, especially trips to Las Vegas with her girlfriends and being snowbirds in Florida with Richard for 17 years.

Claire is survived by her husband: Richard; two daughters: Debra (Carl) Tollefson and Suzanne (Scott) Wegener; grandchildren: Joshua (Brandy) Tollefson, Joseph (fiancé Anna) Tollefson, Nicholas (Jessica) Wegener, and Luke (girlfriend Megan) Wegener; and great-grandchildren: Howard, Charlie, Zetta, Brayden, Keegan, and Scarlett. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends further survive her. Claire was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister; and brother and sister-in-law: Myron (Cleo) Vieau.

A memorial service to celebrate Claire’s life will be held at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 7:00 pm with Rev. Earl Vorpagel officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the funeral home from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm.
