Corinne L Anderson
Our beloved mother and grandmother, Corinne L. Anderson, has left us at 90 years old. She enjoyed remarkably good heath until her last few days. She could not have been a more loving and caring mother.
Corinne was born February 1, 1932, in Bonduel, Wisconsin to Mathilda Augusta Mueller and Charles H Mueller. She had three older brothers, Charles, Donald, and Howard. Upon graduating from Bonduel High School in 1949 at the age of seventeen, Corinne moved to Green Bay. She took a short business course after which she worked in the offices of Olson Transport and later Fort Howard.
Corinne met our father, Jerome (Jerry) Anderson when he was making deliveries to her place of employment. Her ink bottle was stuck shut, and Jerry opened it for her. Jerry and Corinne married on February 23, 1952, in Bonduel. They were happily married until 1996, when Jerry passed away.
Corinne and Jerry had three children-Kim, Mark, and Scott. Corinne became a full-time housewife and mother, the role for which she was meant. Jerry bought Green Bay Welding Supply from his employer around this same time. Corinne and Jerry enjoyed a number of interests, which they shared with their many good friends. They also passed their love of these pursuits on to their children. Golf was probably their favorite. They were members of Shorewood Golf Club and later Royal Scot. They won the Husband-Wife Golf Tournament at Shorewood Country Club in 1960. They also enjoyed playing tennis, skiing, and watching the Packers. Jerry and Corinne loved traveling and went on many wonderful trips across North America, Europe, and Asia. Corinne took her children and their families on a number of memorable trips and cruises as well. She always said, do the things you really want to do while you still can.
Corinne continued golfing and playing bridge well into her eighties. She was a fabulous cook, continually trying new recipes until the end. She was also quite adept at puzzles such as Jumble, Wordle and Sudoku and was usually the first among the family to complete them. In recent years, she embraced streaming TV, particularly British murder mysteries. But, at the end of the day it was her children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, and extended family she cared most about and by whom she wanted to be lovingly remembered. She succeeded tremendously.
Corinne is survived by her daughter: Kim Anderson, Des Moines, IA; son: Mark (Carol) Anderson and granddaughter Caroline, Dallas, TX; son: Scott (Laura) Anderson; and grandsons: Samuel and Philip, Madison, WI, and grandson Brendan (Haylee) Anderson, Arlington, VA; sister-in-law: Mary (Donald) Mueller, Bonduel, WI; and Corinne’s extended family.
She was preceded by her parents; her husband: Jerome G Anderson; brothers: Charles (Doris) Mueller, Donald Mueller, and Howard (Mary) Mueller; and brother-in-law: Erwin (Kathleen) Anderson.
A funeral service will be held Friday September 9, 2022, at 1:00pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 240 E. Green Bay St., Bonduel. Visitation will occur from 11:30 am until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Allouez Mausoleum.
