Dana, who was born on July 19, 1960 passed away on Wednesday, February 24 after a long courageous battle with renal disease. Dana lived in Green Bay her entire life and was a 1978 graduate of Southwest High School. She enjoyed her career in the baking industry for many years. Her greatest passion was music, especially Bon Jovi. One of her favorite songs was “Livin’ On A Prayer” and the words “You live for the fight when it’s all that you’ve got” best describes Dana as she was the strongest person we knew. Dana was also an avid sports fan and closely followed the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Dana is survived by her brother Mark (Christine) Williquette and their two children Andrew and Taylor; her stepmother Cathy Williquette (Tom Mireau); sister Kelly Williquette (Butch Semb) and her son Jake (Sabrina) Weiland and her two grandchildren Emmett and Elliott; sister Jen Flanagan (Aaron Klein) and her late brother Todd’s son Quinn Williquette. She is also survived by her uncle Brad (Barb) Mommaerts and his family as well as her long lost but never forgotten daughter Karyn (Jim) Stolt, and grandchildren Jacob and Sarah.
Dana is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather Judy and Rick Pollak; father Wayne Williquette; beloved little brother Todd Williquette and his daughter Madeline as well as grandparents Ray and Pearl Mommaerts.
A special thanks to Davita Dialysis Center for their dedicated care during her 1092 dialysis treatments. Also, to Dr. Jerzak, her primary care physician for many years, Bellin Hospital 4th floor staff and Unity Hospice for their compassionate, end-of-life care. She was thankful for all her family and friends especially Cathy and Kelly Williquette for their unwavering love and support during her many illnesses and her long-time friend, Renee Simons, who was always there for her.
We are proud to share that Dana gave the gift of sight by being a tissue donor and her donation will help many lives. Because of Dana’s love of spending time with family on her birthday, we will be holding a memorial service to celebrate her life the day before her birthday on Sunday, July 18th at Mark and Christine’s house. All family and friends are welcome. Further details to be announced.
