Darlene M. Bruening, age 70, of Green Bay passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at her residence.
Darlene was born February 13, 1956 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Henry and Frances (Everard) Bukoske. On October 25, 1974 she was united in marriage to Mark Bruening at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Oneida.
Darlene worked many jobs but out of the many jobs she had worked she loved most of all taking care of her family by being a stay at home mother and wife.
Darlene enjoyed everything good that life had to offer. A few of her favorites were traveling the state of Wisconsin with her loving husband Mark on the back of his Harley Davidson, going to Bingo and thrift stores/rummage sales with her son Steve (Bozo). She looked forward to her nightly phone calls from her son Edgar to discuss the things they did throughout the day or how their day went and of course talking to her fur grandpuppies Gemma and Star (dog’s) over speaker phone during her nightly call with Edgar. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her daughter Candy while they both grandparent their grandchildren/great grandchildren and making new memories. She enjoyed spending time with her companions Harley and Quinn (Dogs) and Pogo (Grey Parrot) at home. Darlene also very much enjoyed sitting on her front porch with her family and friends watching the birds and talking to the neighborhood kids and parents as they would pass by heading to the park. No matter where Darlene was or what she was doing she always made new friends and greeted them with her warm beautiful smile. She enjoyed spreading her kindness and love with everyone she could.
Survivors include her loving husband Mark Bruening, her children Candy (Ron), Edgar (Jeannie), Steve a.k.a (Bozo), her grandchildren Ryan(Farrah), Alex(Alexis), Amanda, Brooklyn, her great grandchildren-Theodore, Royce, Helaina, brothers Henry (Connie) Bukoske, Sam (Jill) Bukoske, In-laws Kaye LaBrosse, Lynn (Mike) Kane, Lori (Tom) Growt, Paul Sheffer and her close friends Tanya, Veronica and Sergio (family) and Elaine. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Green Bay, Wisconsin for the compassionate care and dedication.
