David Joseph Engels

David Joseph Engels, 78, of Green Bay passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025 at his residence.

David was born on January 10, 1947. He was a graduate of Whitelake High School. David served his country in the United States Navy. On March 4, 1967, he married Kathleen Smith. She preceded him in death on December 3, 2023. David worked for over 24 years at Shade Paper in Maintenance.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, floating around in his boat on lake Michigan, bowling and dart ball.

David is survived by his children: Becky (Jim) Engels-Leurquin, and Mark Engels; grandchildren: Josh, Alyssa, and Hunter; great-grandchildren: Brycen, Kaylee, and Aubrey; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Ginny (James) Blasczyk; special friends: Sheila Steffens, and Les and Lori Heffner; and faithful companion: Lucy. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his wife: Kathleen Engels.

Cremation will take place and a life celebration will be held at a later date.
