David Le Blanc Obituary

David J. Le Blanc, age 98, passed away Sunday May 5, 2024 at Woodside Lutheran Home. He was born on October 6, 1925 in Hubbell, Michigan. On August 11, 1948 he married Madeline Dion and they were married 71 years until her passing in May of 2020. They enjoyed spending time with family and spent many winters in Arizona.

David was an avid card player and never passed up a chance for a game of pinochle. One of his favorite things to do was to spend an afternoon taking car rides around the area, taking in the scenery, especially with someone else doing the driving. He loved cars and collected all the new car catalogs as a boy.  After moving to Green Bay, he spent 32 years working at Fort Howard until his retirement in 1989.

He will be greatly missed by his survivors, including his 3 children: Paul (Nora) Grand Rapids, MI, Mary (Bruce) Meyer Green Bay, WI, Mark (Janice) Sacramento CA; 7 grandchildren: Jen (Andy) Mieler, Angie (Jim Kuczkowski) Le Blanc, Jennifer (Jake) Fortier, Stephen Meyer, Stacey Meyer, Aaron (Sarah) Wilson, Austin (Emily) Wilson; several great-grandchildren: one brother-in-law: Robert Guard; and many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents: David and Helen (Fountaine) Le Blanc; sisters and brothers-in-law: Agnes and Venance Roy, Florence and Joseph Phelan, Olive and John Kalcich, and Irene and Claire Ulstad; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Violet and Jack LeSage, Marilyn and Bernard Hewitt, Katherine and Zane Kettenbiel, and Rose Mary Guard.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday May 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth Street, Green Bay with Father Patrick Beno officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 am until the time of service of 11:00 am.
