Debra J. Nechodom, age 63, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday November 17, 2023. She was born January 27, 1960, in Green Bay. She was the daughter of Edwin and Audrey Gill. Debbie went to West De Pere High School. On October 13, 1989, she married Robert Nechodom Jr, together they shared 34 years of marriage.
Debbie had a very strong work ethic and enjoyed her time working in the deli at Mason Brothers Red Owl before making the decision to leave her job and care for her grandchildren. This led to a lifelong dedication and passion in helping many families with childcare. Debbie’s connection with her grandchildren was like nothing else. She cherished the time spent with each and every one of them. Her pride and love for her family was unmeasurable.
Survivors include her husband: Robert “Bob” Nechodom Jr.; Children: Heather (Rob) Ecke, Ryan (Kelsey) Nechodom, Jared (Tanya) Zander, Megan (Eric) Salentine; Grandchildren: Connor Dugre, Bryce Ecke, Carter Dugre, Cadence Dugre, Brianna Ecke, Bennett Ecke, Jameson Millhaupt, Rylee Nechodom, Kynlee Nechodom, Adison Zander, Braelyn Zander, Hayden Zander, Jackson Salentine, & Delaney Salentine; Sisters and brothers: Bonnie Samp, Randy (Cindy) Zander, Cindy Kosky, Pam (Clem) VanBogart, Renee (Ralph) Luedtke, Todd (Karen) Gill, Michelle Schneider, Shon (Christine) Gill; Brother and Sister in law: Mike (Pat) Nechodom, Carol Kelly, Linda Meidam, Mary (Dave) Peterson, JoAnn Nechodom, Debbie Nechodom, Bruce (Tanya) Nechodom, Jeff (Karen) Nechodom, Patty (Ron) Havel, Duane (Connie) Nechodom; and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; In laws: Robert Sr. and Lorraine Nechodom; Brother in laws: Floyd Samp, Daryl Kosky, Dave Schneider, Mike Kelly, Rocky Meidam, and Jim Nechodom; and many special nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will occur on Saturday November 25, 2023, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at Burkel’s One Block Over, 1007 Tony Canadeo Run, Green Bay. A private ceremony and cremation have taken place.
