Debra J. Roeser

Debra J. Roeser, age 66, of Green Bay passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Debbie was born October 21, 1958 in Antigo, WI. The daughter of the late Ira and Lois (Graveen) Hurlbut. The family moved to the Green Bay area shortly after, where she graduated from Ashwaubenon High School with the Class of 1976.  Upon graduation, Debbie moved to Juneau, WI where she welcomed her children Paul and Valerie, until she came back to Green Bay after meeting the love of her life.  She was united in marriage to her soulmate Kyle Roeser on March 30, 1996.

She took pride in making everyone’s favorite candies working at Seroogy’s Chocolates for over 25 years, where she also made many friends and memories.

Debbie spent much of her leisure time enjoying her granddaughters and granddogs. Her favorite place was at the family cabin in Townsend, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed riding on the pontoon, reading, ATV rides around the lake and relaxing.

Survivors include her husband, Kyle Roeser; her children, Paul (Beth) Hodgson and Valerie Hodgson; her grandchildren, Molly, Mayzie, and Margo; her siblings, Peter (Pat) Hurlbut, Linda (Hurlbut) McGillvary, Mark (Juanita) Hurlbut, and Tim Hurlbut; as well as many in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Debra was preceded in death by her parents Ira & Lois Hurlbut, as well as her sister, June (Hurlbut) Sylte.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Green Bay. The family will greet family and friends at the church on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Debbie’s name.

The Lyndahl Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the Roeser family with arrangements.
