Dennis Ray Ness, 75, of Green Bay passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
Dennis was born on October 3, 1946 in Green Bay, the son of Henry and Mary (Tordeur) Ness. He was a graduate of Pittsville High School. Dennis served his country in the United States Navy from 1965-1969. On September 7, 1970, he married the former Jean Marie Rounds. Dennis was a machinist for Paper Converting.
Dennis was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish. Over the years, he enjoyed boating with Jean and their family and friends on their boat “Happy Days”. Dennis also enjoyed playing cards, dice, darts, games of volleyball and jarts, cocktail hour, deer hunting and spending time with his family, especially his three granddaughters, whom he adored.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife: Jean; his children: Robert Ness, and Robin (Brian) Czeshinski; three granddaughters: Whitney Marie, Lilly Mary, and Violet Elizabeth; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Judy Jackson, John (Mary Ann) Rounds, Joyce (Jim) Weyenberg, Ted Rounds, and Holly (Dick) Cree. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Mary Ness; and parents-in-law: Winifred and Fay Rounds.
A funeral service to celebrate Dennis’ life will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 S. Oneida St., with Rev. Matt Simonar officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.
