Dona Schoen, age 80, of Green Bay, went to be with our heavenly father on Monday, December 19, 2022.
Dona was born on April 17, 1942, to the late Donald Mikol and Marie (Spinilli) Marshall. She was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. On May 5, 1962, she married Jerry Schoen in Green Bay, he preceded her in death on August 23, 2017. Dona worked for the Green Bay Public School System. Dona was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish, where she loved teaching confirmation. Dona enjoyed crocheting and was passionate about her services with Love Life.
Dona is survived by her children: Chris and Lisa Schoen and their children, Erika (Zack), Alicia (Tyler), and Marissa (Conner); Keith and Sherry Schoen and their children, Megan (John), Christopher (Brittany), and Crystal; David and Wilda Schoen and their children, Michelle and Zachary; Anne and Eric Turppa and their children, Tabatha and Samantha; and Mindy Schoen and special friend, Jeff Olson; 7.5 great-grandchildren; her siblings: Cindy Newell, Gary (Sue) Mikol, and Linda Chappelle; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tom Schoen, Dick (Anita) Schoen, Sue Hebel, Judy Gilson, Carol (Dan) Segersin, Kathy (Greg) Steckman, and Karen (Jim) Sentowski; and nieces and nephews. Dona was preceded in death by her parents: Donald Mikol, and Marie (Spinilli) Marshall; her husband: Jerry Schoen; and her aunt and uncle: Floyd and Rita (Mikol) Roskum.
A memorial mass for Dona will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 4:00pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 936 Ninth Street, Green Bay with Rev. Don Everts officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the church from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 4:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at Allouez Mausoleum.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Unity Hospice, the doctors and nurses of Bellin and St. Vincent Hospitals for all the care and compassion they gave to Dona.
