Donna M. Anderson, age 82, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Meadowbrook in Oconto Falls.
She was born on January 4, 1941 to the late Alvin and Eleanore (Swanson) Karman. She was born and raised in Crivitz, WI and graduated from the local High School in 1959. Donna then moved to Green Bay where she attended and graduated from the Accredited School of Beauty Culture in June 1960. She worked at Merle Norman Beauty Shop for a short time before transitioning to AC Nielsen Co.
Donna married Wayne K. Anderson on February 24, 1962 at West Moravian Church where they were active members. She was a member of the Women’s Fellowship, Choir, the CEC and outreach committee, and also served as a youth group leader.
When starting a family in April 1966, she chose to be a stay-at-home mom to raise her two children, David and Sally. In July 1988, she became a nursing assistant (CNA) at Western Village Nursing Home and stayed there for the next handful of years until her retirement in April 1998. She enjoyed going “Up North” with Wayne to Crivitz and Fence, along with all the traveling they did during their 48 years of marriage. Donna also enjoyed spending time with her family and being the primary “babysitter” for her two grandchildren, Juan Jr. and Bianca.
Donna is survived by one son: David (Dawn) Anderson, of Fond du Lac and his children, Krista, Meghan and Alyssa; one daughter: Sally (Jeremy) Nicholas of Hobart, and her children, Andrew (Claire) Arndt, Juan Camiro Jr. and Bianca Camiro; one brother: Guy Karman and his children, Beatrice Palmer, Cheryl Glaser; sister-in-law Shirley Karman and her children, Lisa (Marty) Roth and Cary Karman; sister-in-law Bette Anderson; nephew Jim Anderson; niece Carol Pigeon; and many cousins and great grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband: Wayne on July 26, 2003; her parents Alvin and Eleanore Karman; brother: Barry Karman; nephew: Rod Karman; niece Sandra Karman; mother and father-in-law: Howard and Myrtle Anderson;six brothers-in-law and spouses: Donald, Vernon and Virginia, Russell and Martha, Eugene, Cyril (Bud), Emmett; and sister-in-law Judy Karman.
In accordance with Donna’s wishes, no visitation or public service was held. The family has held a private funeral service. Interment has taken place at the Ashwaubenon Moravian Cemetery.
